No mater what you do do not buy Camaflexi products. If it arrives missing parts and you do what it says and call the number to tell them that it is missing parts they are 0 help and will not provide you with parts period. They wont even let you buy parts for their products it arrives missing stuff toughluck.

First off, I rarely submit reviews but do use them to make decisions about what I purchase, so since there are only a few reviews for this specific bed online, I will help the next person out. This bed is massive but the height is just right for our standard eight foot ceilings. Do not get the angled ladder unless your room has a lot of square footage, go for the straight ladder if it is just a typical kids room. Unboxing and assembling took two us roughly 12 hours over two days. There were a couple places the directions could have been clearer, causing us to make some simple mistakes that we had to go back and fix. You DEFINITELY need a power drill with a low speed setting and a rubber mallet is helpful too. We used a 12 inch hybrid mattress on the bottom and a 9 inch coil mattress on the top and they work fine. A child or short adult can sit up on the bottom without hitting head, but anyone over about five foot five probably would not be able to with a 12 inch mattress.

It came in a lot of boxes but once I took everything out and read the instructions, I realized it was really easy to assemble. It's very solid and well built and it looks good. As for the price, it's a great value. I don't have any negative things to say about it.
